Job description
The Accountant supports the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
He/she assists in routine accounting operations, participates in monthly closings, contributes to financial analyses, and collaborates with internal departments to ensure the smooth running of accounting processes.
Job requirements
A. Accounting management & closings
Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
Perform basic reconciliations and help identify discrepancies.
Assist in maintaining accurate accounting records in compliance with CO and IFRS standards.
Prepare preliminary documentation for internal and external audits.
B. Analysis & reporting
Contribute to the collection and consolidation of financial information for reporting
Assist in monitoring key KPIs (DSO, collection rate, AR performance).
Support the preparation of reporting files such as audit packs or Group reports.
C. Billing, accounts receivable & compliance
Assist in billing reconciliation
D. Accounts payable and Treasury
Assist AP reconciliation with subledger
Assist in Bank reconciliation
Assist to prepare payments
E. Continuous improvement & integration
Participate in the simplification and optimization of accounting processes.
Support digitization initiatives within the SSC (ERP: Navision, Opale).
Contribute to the digitization and efficiency of tools (ERP: Navision, Opale).
Report recurring operational issues and suggest improvements.
F. Collaboration & internal support
Collaborate with finance, audit, operations, and IT teams
Provide basic administrative and technical support to the accounting team.
Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
• Degree in finance, accounting, business administration or equivalent.
• Ongoing or planned professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an asset.
• First experience with ERP systems (Opale, SAP, Navision) is a plus.
• English fluency required, with German or French preferred
Experience
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting or financial operations.
• Internship or entry-level experience in an SSC environment is an advantage
• Interest in developing skills in closing processes and financial operations.
